~ Book 1 in the USA Today Bestselling Series! ~ What if a high-tech game was a gateway to the treacherous Faerie Realm?
WHEN A GAME...
Feyland is the most immersive sim-game ever designed, and Jennet Carter is the first to play the prototype. But she doesn’t suspect the virtual world is close enough to touch — or that she’ll be battling for her life against the Dark Queen of the faeries.
TURNS REAL...
Tam Linn is the perfect hero — in-game. Too bad the rest of his life is seriously flawed. The last thing he needs is rich-girl Jennet prying into his secrets, insisting he’s the only one who can help her.
WINNING IS EVERYTHING...
Together, Jennet and Tam enter the Dark Realm of Feyland, only to discover that the entire human world is in danger. Pushed to the limit of their abilities, they must defeat the Dark Queen… before it’s too late.

What starts off as the usual run of the mill rich kid moves to new town scenario soon turns off into a fast paced adventure where the action in their real world is as exciting as their adventure happening in game. Our MC is literally lost in game, well part of her at least and needs to find her knight in shining armour to help her rescue her soul...before the Dark Faerie use it to invade the real world, killing her and doom the world.
I can finally truthfully say that this is the best book I have read in a long time. Not only does Miss Anthea find the perfect blend of Sci-Fi, Fantasy, action, and Romance, she also uses very little language which I personally enjoyed. She executed the plot perfectly, and the dialogue was extremely realistic. In recent books that I have read (or more accurately, TRIED to read), the writers made the characters too immature for their age, which Miss Anthea did not do. I admire how she was able to bring together lots of 'mini stories' into one big, logical adventure, and how she could switch so easily from the heroine's point of view to the hero's point of view. Another thing that I loved was the fact that there were NO GRAMMATICAL ERRORS. I have been finding it extremely difficult to find a book that has no typos, no grammar errors, and has a well-executed plot. I adored Feyland: The Dark Realm, and I can't wait to buy the next one! Definitely a must read. This writer has earned her five stars hands down!
I didn't know what to expect when I started this book. A video game that connected to the Faerie realm? It sounded interesting, so I gave it a shot. I was so glad that I did. The author takes the concepts of virtual reality simulations and old Fey stories and melds them into a fast-paced ride on a roller coaster of fun. The two worlds, our natural world and the the Fey world accessed through a video game, are both wonderfully creative. The teenage characters are beautifully shaped and the theme of two separate worlds connecting is continued in their backgrounds. I loved the use of the old stories of Thomas the Rhymer and Tamlinn in the plot. This was a great read and I can't wait to continue on in the series.
This book was amazing, a hybrid of ancient mythlore and modern technology. I was skeptical when I downloaded it, but I've been starved for reading material, and gave it a chance. Now I can hardly wait to read the rest of the series! This author's characters and universe are believable, sympathetic and intense. The plot intrigues and the writing style leads the reader from one page to the next with something between contentment at a good tale and impatience to get to the next scenes. I don't generally like teen-fiction, but this one should appeal to older readers as well as the teens it is obviously intended to entertain. The ideas presented really made me think!
This book was recommended to me through an email from Bookbub. I read the synopsis and was instantly intrigued. I got it from Amazon for my KindleFire for .99 cents. I had been reading another book and was pretty interested in that one, but the synopsis of Feyland was still on my mind and I started reading it on my kindle on my computer at work (my work was done...lol). By the time, I left work I was already 36% into the book. By the time, I went to bed, I was 77% into the book and telling my 18 year old son that he had to read it (I had sent it to his kindle) and he started reading it last night also. We both finished it this morning. I loved the characters, they were very realistic. Bug was adorable and lovable. I also liked Marny, and I hope she is going to start simming with Jennett and Tam in the next two books, I think she would be an awesome asset to helping them defeat the Dark Queen. I'm already 10% into the second book and cannot wait to find out what else is in store for these wonderful characters. I applaud Anthea Sharp for her writing. I will be on the lookout for future books from her. She has a wonderful writing career in front of her...PLEASE READ THESE BOOKS...THEY ARE PHENOMENAL!!!!
